As you can read in my profile, I have a wonderful family who, next to my God, are the most important people in my life. My loving, dedicated wife of nearly 23 years is one of the best teachers that I have ever had the privilege of working with or supervising. She truly amazes me at times with the way she can handle situations in her classroom and manage those students who seem very difficult to reach. God has truly gifted her to be an excellent teacher.
My daughter Ashley is finishing her 2nd year at Pensacola Christian College as she pursues a nursing degree. My "little girl" is a beautiful, sensitive young lady who will make a "killer" nurse some day!
Keith is an energetic, helpful, active 8th grader who always wants to please those whom God has ordained as his authority. I am sure he gets that trait from his Mom's side of the family!
My oldest son Gregory is a junior in high school and is currently struggling to find God's will for his life as far as his vocation is concerned. Sandra and I covet your prayers as we counsel and encourage Greg to let the Holy Spirit open his heart to the direction he should follow. Knowing what God wants for you to do for your life is essential, but Greg is also praying for leadership as to where he should attend college. It is good in life for people to struggle- they are at least paying attention to that dilemna that they are facing.
What about your family? Have you thought recently of how blessed you are to have that spouse, child, friend, pastor... Give God all the glory for that relationship and its significance in your life on a daily basis. What struggles are they experiencing that you could come alongside them as their advocate, counsellor, or a shoulder to cry on? As Pastor Sean always reminds us- relationships are key for them and for us! Share your love and appreciation to your family members today and consistently to keep the "fire burning!"
